4. For question #2, what did you do differently from the original post? Please outline, explain and justify what you changed & why. Essentially, what did you learn from this new topic and what did you change and why. (8 Marks)
I made several changes to my original introductory post including:
Creating additional lines of texts
- My original post included larger, “paragraph” style bodies of text. My revised version has more lines of text containing fewer sentences. This was done to meet the standards of the F-pattern, as most readers only read the first part of a sentence/paragraph.
Including a bullet list
- My original post listed my business products under separate headings. While this still technically follows the F-pattern, I decided to put this information in a bullet list in the revised version to make it easier to read and follow. Readers are also more likely to read information in a bullet list compared to a standard paragraph.
Shortened sentences
- Some of the sentences in my original post were long and wordy so my revised version eliminated unnecessary words and information. The revised version focuses on the most important information to make it easier for readers to follow, and makes them more likely to read the sentence in its entirety.
Simplifying vocabulary
- There were a few words used in my original post that some readers might not recognize. I opted to use more common words that more readers will recognize.
