A recent headline I came across and thought was great was “Joey Graziadei Reveals Why His Eyes Are Sometimes ‘Yellow’”. This headline resonated with me because I watch the Bachelor and am a fan of this season’s lead, Joey. I had actually noticed that his eyes were yellow and was wondering if it was due to the lighting. A few weeks ago, the ‘yellow eyes’ started to get attention online as more people were noticing it during the shows airing. A few days before this article was released, Joey said he would soon be addressing his yellow eyes so I had been anticipating seeing something soon. When I read this headline it resonated with me because I am invested in the show and was already curious about the topic at hand. This headline used keywords like “Joey Graziadei” and “yellow” which grabbed my attention because they were recognizable and I immediately knew what it was about.
This is a strong headline because it incorporates identifiable keywords that would grab a Bachelor fan’s attention — which is the intended audience for the headlines article. This headline is short and to the point but doesn’t answer the readers question which forces them to click a link and be brought to read the full article.
